borgqueenx 5 Posted ... I've always disliked that vpn randomly disconnects on my iphone using OpenVPN and airvpn refusing to make their own app that can stay connected like some alternatives out there that always keep working. But now, airvpn on PC is also showing problems. The auto connect at pc startup is alot of times not working and constantly retrying, making me have a connecting of mere kilobytes per seconds, and i have to manually select a new server to make it work. There seem to be coming lag spikes as well where the connection becomes utterly slow suddenly, and sometimes this lasts for minutes, not seconds. I used to have a very good experience on PC with airvpn but the last ~3 weeks it has gone downhill. Quote Share this post Link to post
LZ1 673 Posted ... Hello! Well we can't help you unless you provide more information. Otherwise you can submit a support ticket. If AirVPN isn't for you, that's okay . Moderators do not speak on behalf of AirVPN. Only the Official Staff account does. Please also do not run Tor Exit Servers behind AirVPN, thank you. Did you make a guide or how-to for something? Then contact me to get it listed in my new user guide's Guides Section, so that the community can find it more easily. Share this post Link to post
dagadog 5 Posted ... Have you ruled out your ISP? Everything is working fine here, although I have occasional problems with my ISP (network fault in the area) which slow things down. I don't have an iPhone, but I use the standard OpenVPN connect app for Android. My Linux server (gateway for my whole network) connects to AirVPN using the standard OpenVPN service. When I'm out and about I connect from a Windows PC or android tablet (both using the vanilla OpenVPN client) and never have any issues. I have noticed that many "free" WiFi providers actively block VPN traffic, so even though you can establish a tunnel, you are unable to transfer any data through it. Maybe your ISP is doing the same? go558a83nk 364 Posted ... make sure you're using the latest version of Eddie on your PC. The only openvpn app on the iphone is openvpn connect. all others are not based on openvpn and use the built in VPN options apple provides. thus, they may behave "better". but, openvpn is the more secure option. any problems you have running openvpn connect have nothing to do with AirVPN and everything to do with the phone and the internet to which it's connected.
