New 1 Gbit/s server available (ES)

Recommended Posts

Hello!

We're very glad to inform you that a new 1 Gbit/s server located in Spain is available: Eridanus.

The AirVPN client will show automatically the new server, while if you use the OpenVPN client you can generate all the files to access them through our configuration/certificates/key generator (menu "Client Area"->"Config generator").

The server accepts connections on ports 53, 80, 443, 2018 UDP and TCP.

Just like every other Air server,  Eridanus supports OpenVPN over SSL and OpenVPN over SSH.

As usual no traffic limits, no logs, no discrimination on protocols and hardened security against various attacks with separate entry and exit-IP addresses.

Do not hesitate to contact us for any information or issue.

Kind regards and datalove
AirVPN Team

Wow, its actually one of the only M247 servers Google identifies to be in the UK. Only other one that did this was Zuben ( i think Zuben has recently reverted to a UK google).

Regardless, it's great to have more bandwidth in Spain considering there was only one server there before.

Ukraine and Singapore both still only have one server each. I would recommend expanding there, as personally my performance on Alcor is horrible.

Antares is great, but while it does not go over load, i think a second server would better distribute the load more evenly and provide more bandwidth to Asia, particularly with new Chinese efforts to further constrict the free flow of information.

And as i said on a previous thread, Iceland would be an ideal solution for users connecting from North America that don't feel safe tunneling through the US and Canada while keeping a lower ping. And with the UK IP bill taking effect in less than a year now, UK will have a second alternative to the Netherlands without going too much farther than the English Channel, while having great peering to North America.
