Newbie, exit server question & poor speed, performance

Hi all,

 

I'm using Eddie beta v9.0.14.59.

 

1) I'm connecting to a Canadian server, yet the ipleak.net test says "Seychelles, 

AfriTel Corporation - AirVPN Server (Exit)" . Shouldn't it exit in Canada? I'd like it to exit in the country/server I'm connected to.

 

2) Speed is poor, as is latency. Are settings I can change to speed up? Or something I can do?

Which Canadian server is that exactly? Sometimes there's just simple errors in what's reported.

 

How are you measuring speed?

 

Note that the most geographically close servers to you aren't always automatically the fastest or best ones for you, so try different servers and different protocols

firewall off

 

if latency is poor then choose a closer server.  latency has nothing to do with the server but with your route to the server.
