network_vpn 1 Posted ... Hi, I've installed Eddie into Windows 10. It works fine. However when I restart the PC I can longer access the internet. If I use windows troubleshooting it returns the error 'Detected DNS server is not responding' As it stands now (working) I have 2 Ethernet connections, both are using DNS 10.4.0.1. The second interface is a TAP Windows Adapter V9. Strangely when it fails the DNS entries are the same. I can get it to work by deleting Eddie, and then selecting 'Obtain DNS server address automatically' Any ideas how I might troubleshoot this? Thanks. Quote Share this post Link to post
go558a83nk 362 Posted ... are you disconnecting from the VPN server and shutting Eddie down gracefully prior to restarting your PC? Quote Share this post Link to post
LZ1 672 Posted ... Hello! If you're using the Stable Eddie 2.10 client, then there's this common bug where Eddie doesn't manage to reset your DNS servers to their previous configuration before shutting down. Thus if you want to keep using this version of Eddie, make sure to shut it down through its own menus. Otherwise, you can try to use the Experimental Eddie 2.11.x versions, as they handle this a lot better. If not, you'll simply have to keep applying the "Obtain DNS automatically" fix as you mentioned . Quote Hide LZ1's signature Hide all signatures Hi there, are you new to AirVPN?
