Authenticate/Decrypt packet error: bad packet ID

I have found many forums about this error, but have not found a solution. I have tried using 'TCP' instead of 'automatic', however when using 'TCP', the download speed doesn't really go as high as 'automatic' when torrenting. Here is the log below, when it was left on overnight. I have encountered these issues everytime I use airVPN.

Have you tried using an alternative port with the UDP protocol then?

 

I assume you're also torrenting *correctly*; portforwarding, etc. Did you try different servers too?

 

It seems you didn't append the entire log, from line 1.

I will try an alternative port with the UDP, and let you know.

I have portforwarded, by creating the forwarded port, and placing the information into the torrent client, by disabling Use UPnP on router, and putting the port used from the forwarded port on there, it works after this, I assume this is the correct method?

When getting the log, it only shows me so much lines, I don't think it goes all the way to the top, even when scrolling up in the client. I am using the airVpn client (Eddie).

Did you forward the ports on your router or in the desktop client? Do it on the client. You can also download a fake torrent from ipleak.net to check if things are being hidden properly.

Yes I have done it in the client. Sorry, there is an option in the client about forwarding to the router, and I un-ticked it, thats what I meant.

if you can insert "verb 4" (without the quote marks) into the custom directives field in advanced preferences/settings that should do it.

Its bt infinity 2 in the UK, Which is a fibre cable all the way from the telephone exchange to the nearby cabinet, then copper cables to your house. Speed is 76/16.

 

Ill try mssfix 0 today, and see what happens.
