New 1 Gbit/s server available: Hadar (HK)

Recommended Posts

Hello!

We're very glad to inform you that a new 1 Gbit/s server located in Hong Kong is available: Hadar.

The AirVPN client will show automatically the new server, while if you use the OpenVPN client you can generate all the files to access it through our configuration/certificates/key generator (menu "Client Area"->"Config generator").

The server accepts connections on ports 53, 80, 443, 2018 UDP and TCP.

Just like every other Air server, Hadar supports OpenVPN over SSL and OpenVPN over SSH.

As usual no traffic limits, no logs, no discrimination on protocols and hardened security against various attacks with separate entry and exit-IP addresses.

Do not hesitate to contact us for any information or issue.

Kind regards and datalove
AirVPN Team

I had issues with the HK server (Hadar) over the last week or so, its latency in the HK tab would show up as "..." (infinite?).

Seems like it is offline now. Is it closed permanently?

As others have commented, more servers in Asia would be great.

Thanks!

Hello!

We are in contact with Hadar datacenter technicians, they are investigating.

Kind regards

This server has the third worst latency for the Asian region.

When are you going to add more asian servers for the Asian region ?

I'm sure there are customers in this region frustrated like me.

latency is a description of the path to the server, not an indicator of the health of the server itself.  please keep in mind that AirVPN and the datacenters they use can NOT affect internet peerage, IP transit agreements and overall routing though I'm sure they wish they could so that all customers were happy.
