When I download/stream from the same site in Firefox and Chrome, I get about 300KB/sec in the former and almost 3MB/sec in the latter. What can be causing this discrepancy and how can I make FF faster? I checked network settings in FF and have no proxy selected. DNS over HTTPS is not enabled. Add-ons that may affect network use in FF I have installed: HTTPS Everywhere and Privacy Badger (disabling made no difference). I have no add-ons installed for Chrome. I am on Windows 10 64 with all latest system updates installed as of this morning. The above issue, however, has been going on for a few weeks if not longer. Any ideas?

Hi! Hope you're doing well. I'm having some problems with airvpn and thought you could help me with it. The whole issue started when my PC suffered from a crash while connected to AirVPN through Eddie (with all default settings, net lock enabled). Since then, my internet connection is acting very weird, connected to the VPN or not. - My bandwidth (that I pay for) is 250mbps Down - When I do a speedtest, it spits out a result in the range of [0.1,0.5]mbps down - However, up speeds are fine (~20mbps) - The DL is overally very slow and stuttery, but sites such as youtube work just fine (I looked at the Performance Monitor in Task Manager and when watching YouTube videos, it jumps up to even 180mbps, just like it should). That means that even though speedtests give me a very bad reading and I can't really connect to most sites (reddit, for example, takes about 10 minutes to load), on YouTube I can watch 1080p or even 4K videos without any stuttering -Similar sites: Twitch, Netflix - don't work AT ALL. They can't even load pictures. Just the text. After waiting for about a minute. - What the hell is going on? I'm using an up-to-date x64 Windows 10 Home. I tried setting the DNS settings to automatic. I tried doing the 'Network reset' option in Windows 10. Tried resetting firewall. Tried reinstalling, uninstalling, installing Eddie over and over. Tried flushing the dns cache. Tried to call my IPS (they said everything is fine on their end). Please, can you point me into what could be wrong?

Hello people of this community, I'm using airvpn for 6 months now and i still love it! I have a 200Mbits internet connection. I expected to lose a lot of internet speed while using AIRVPN. But I was wrong. I still download files at 185-189 Mbit/s. (so a lose of +- 11Mbit/s) Airvpn is cheap, safe and very fast! I recommend everyone to use AIRVPN. You lose little to no speed and keep your privacy. What speeds do you get when downloading files? Hey, for a couple of weeks now I'm sharing an AirVPN account with a friend of mine (3 devices total, so not exceeding the allowed number). I personally want to use it mostly in conjunction with a torrent client and for web-browsing. However both the down- and upload speed I am getting is incredibly low, often even below 1 kb/sec. For him everything seems to be perfectly fine, and according to an independent and the AirVPN speedtest I should be getting over 1mb/sec download. My settings are the default ones with a few adjustments, connecting to the best out of a couple of servers in close proximity & network lock is on (there are very few disconnects tho, so I don't think its related to that). Now I am at best decent with tech stuff thought I have absolutely no idea of VPNs and networks in general. Read a bit around the forums and went through LZ1's Guide. While I think they are extremely helpful I wasn't able to help myself. Not sure which information you need, I'll just post what I think is relevant. OS: Windows 7 64-bit Connection 16.000 DSL, Telekom (usually around 1,4mb/sec down) Country: Germany Router: Fritzbox FON 7360 (works without error)

I used AirVPN for 3 weeks with no issues until the past week. My speeds have been getting slower and slower to the point I can't do anything when connected to the VPN. I did a speed test when connected to the VPN, the results are below: Down: 11.976 Mbit/s Out, 0.639 Mbit/s In (5%), 10MB - Up: 0.124 Mbit/s Out, 0.108 Mbit/s In (86%), 1MB - Date: Mon, 28 Mar 2016 01:02:23 GMT - Buffers: 10MB/1MB - Laps: 3, Time: 1127.64 secs I'm using a Mac with OSX 10.9. Any help is appreciated.

Hi all, I am testing to see if i want to use this provider. Currently I am running the the service thru my router. I am experiencing disappointing numbers on the speed test. Without the VPN service I get ~15 down an 1.8 up. With service I get 1.6 down and 0.2 up. I would like to think I set something wrong. Any advise would be appreciated before I get censored as i have a suspicion this site does based on what I have been reading. Best Regards

When I read the reviews of this service I thought this was definitely the one for me. I have a 10Mbps/1Mbps broadband connection which in whatever test I use comes out at over 10Mbps download and over 1Mbps upload - I am delighted with my ISP. As you can see from the following AirVPN test I am far from happy with this VPN solution. Am I doing something wrong or is there some configuration I can do so that the service approaches the level of service indicated in reviews? Down: 2.271 Mbit/s Out, 0.281 Mbit/s In (12%), 10MB - Up: 1.109 Mbit/s Out, 0.236 Mbit/s In (21%), 10MB - Date: Tue, 21 Oct 2014 17:50:03 GMT - Buffers: 10MB/10MB - Laps: 3, Time: 2239.26 secs
