Hello! We're very glad to inform you that a new 10 Gbit/s (full duplex) server located in Los Angeles (California, USA) is available: Saclateni. Saclateni supports OpenVPN over SSL and OpenVPN over SSH, TLS 1.3, OpenVPN tls-crypt and WireGuard. The AirVPN client will show automatically the new server; if you use any other OpenVPN or WireGuard client you can generate all the files to access it through our configuration/certificates/key generator (menu "Client Area"->"Config generator"). The server accepts connections on ports 53, 80, 443, 1194, 2018 UDP and TCP for OpenVPN and ports 1637, 47107 and 51820 UDP for WireGuard. Full IPv6 support is included as well. Italian Piracy Shield

Still, I'd like to see an official reply. If they don't want to release a public statement, they can say so and I'll ask privately.

Does ISP know that I'm using VPN?

Why do you care? Using a VPN isn’t illegal. Is it against the terms of service? The answer to your question is that you probably can’t. You can change the port to make your traffic blend in, but between deep packet inspection, and the fact they can see your traffic going to the IP address of a VPN provider, it’s pretty obvious.

I had a lengthy discussion with the CEO on 2 occasions. First when they launched eons ago, on how they were CERN based etc. I had rant-on-rant at the CEO who remained friendly and thanked for the feedback. Second when the Swiss passed the IT law and P. claimed they allegedly are not subject to it. They are subject to it as was proven later. 6 months of logs to be kept at minimum for if law enforcement brings a court order. P. Claims it's all encrypted, but the law provides it needs to be on court order provided unencrypted, or the company becomes financially liable. In addition, Swiss state monitors any IT connection coming in or out of its borders. Several docu's on the subject on Swiss television. Proton VPN, email and Swiss privacy? Crap away, as far as you can.

Hello! The Express VPN interface causes a critical error to OpenVPN: Tell Eddie to ignore any alien interface: Select from Eddie's main window Preferences > Networking, write eddie in the "VPN interface name" field click Save. You may also consider to switch to WireGuard to bypass the alien interface. You can do it in Preferences > Protocols window. Uncheck Automatic, select a WireGuard connection mode and click Save. Kind regards
