TOR over VPN with live Ubuntu CD

Hi,

 

I have been looking at how to achive something like using TAILS with TOR over VPN. I know that this i not possible with TAILS, but I have managed to do it by using TBB on a USB key.

 

So the question is how secure is this, if I only want to go to .onion sites.

 

1. start live CD Ubuntu 13.04 No Hard Drive in PC

 

2. configure AirVPN, connect to VPN

 

3. run TBB from the USB key, so that TOR runs over/through the VPN tunnel.

 

Checking netstat shows VPN connections O.K and JonDonym shows me using TOR, while Airvpn states no VPN connection on thier website, but there is one. i.e connecting to the website via TOR uses the TOR exit node address.

 

Any comments, maybe I have something wrong here...

it seems correct. When you browse to our web site, it will display "not connected" because it sees the TOR exit-node IP address. Same thing for JonDonym, it detects the TOR exit-node IP address.
