mhalen 2 Posted ... Im trying to receive some files from friends over IRC, i can get connected through DCC when not using the VPN but when the VPN is running the connection never establishes. im guessing its come sort of port forwarding issue, i was looking at the settings in mIRC, i can set the DCC gets and receives to use a certain port eg. 3000. and then this port shows up as listening under mirc (seeing this using comodo firewall) but the port that my local port is connecting to always seems to be a random port so if i log into my control panel on your website how can i set up port fordwarding if the port that im connecting to is random? 1 Irrardblase reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post
Staff 9973 Posted ... Hello! Please remotely forward the same port you have configured on your IRC client. The port from which the transmission initiates has no importance, when your IRC client acts as a DCC client. Tell your friends to send data to the correct port if you still have issues:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_Client-to-Client#DCC_SEND Kind regards Quote Share this post Link to post
