Just purchased AirVPN, now it crashes as soon as I start it.

Recommended Posts

I installed the OpenVPN software prior to running, and now the program crashes as soon as i start it....

<link removed>

system specs:

win7 ult 64

core i7 980x 6 core

12 gb ram

3 x nvidia gtx 260

128 gb SSD

I also have HMA installed, and would like to run two VPN tunnels at the same time, I have not tried to uninstall HMA yet, and I dont want to, I want to simply run two vpn tunnels. So that HMA sees my AirVPN ip only. I dont trust HMA any more, and can not depend on them, but I would rather double up on vpn security.

However as soon as I run AirVPN it crashes, even when not running any other vpn or proxy service..

Hello!

Can you please make sure that you're not running the correct Air client version? Check here:

https://airvpn.org/windows

In order to connect over OpenVPN over OpenVPN, the quickest solution is running a host and a virtual machine. The VM must be connected to the host via NAT (VMWare and VirtualBox have a quite complete NAT support). The host connects to the first VPN (VPN 1), the VM to the second VPN (VPN 2). All the applications in the VM will connect over VPN 2 over VPN 1. This setup assumes that both VPN are based on OpenVPN.

Hello!

Sorry for the clarification request, do you mean that OpenVPN GUI crashes as well?

No Open VPN works fine. Air VPN crashes as soon as I open it. I tried the windows 8 version and it actually opened up, but didnt work obviously because i am using windows 7. I really want to use this, i need to know how to report crash information to you so you can find the fault causing the crash.

I had to reformat my pc to get the program to work, and now its not crashing like it did.  It still does not work!

Now when I attempt to connect to a sever it says:

Connecting.,....Failed to start.

I installed everything required.

Hello!

Please go to your "Client Area", click "Config generator" on the left tab, select the server(s) you wish to connect to and download the generated files.

Copy and paste those files (if you downloaded a compressed archive, decompress it first) inside the OpenVPN configuration directory. Instead of launching the Air client, launch OpenVPN GUI with administrator privileges, right-click on its dock icon, connect to any Air VPN server and send us the OpenVPN logs you can see in the output window.

Kind regards

It appears to be connected to the server now...DNS is leaking all over the place...    I would rather connect via the airvpn client though.

I would like this Program to WORK.  AND NOT VIA THE OPENVPN.  You guys need to FIX THE AIRVPN CLIENT, so it WORKS!
