OpenVPN up/down script

Hi,

Is there anyway to specify the OpenVPN up/down script option when using the AirVPN client? I can't see any option on the AirVPN client GUI.

I want to automatically remove ISP DNS servers from my primary ethernet adapter when the OpenVPN TAP adapter comes up and restore the DNS when the TAP adapter goes down. I am doing this manually using bat files as suggested on http://www.dnsleaktest.com/how-to-fix-a-dns-leak.php

Is there anyway to do this automatically?

It would be nice to have 2 edit boxes to specify the Paths of the up script and down script on the AirVPN GUI and the AirVPN GUI can pass it over to the openvpn.exe when invoking it or put into the temporary config file that it creates. This way these bat files can get executed automatically.

Hello!

We're sorry, the option to execute scripts is not available in the Air client. You might like to prepare a script which performs what you wish and then launches OpenVPN. Our configuration generator (menu "Member Area"->"Access without our client") will generate all the files needed by OpenVPN.

Ok thanks for the info.

I prefer the convenience of the AirVPN client app. I am going to try working around this by compiling small helper app and rename it as openvpn.exe and invoke the real openvpn.exe from my helper app with the right args. I don't have too much experience building for windows. I am going to give a quick try with MinGW.

Would you consider adding up/down scripts as options on the AirVPN client app as a future enhancement?
