No filters are doing this, I did a fresh apk install then logged in and made issue, only work around is to switch clients and add wurrens config manually. Quote Share this post Link to post
iwih2gk 97 Posted ... I took note of the following sentence in Staff's description of 3.3.0's new abilities. [opt in ability to auto connect when the app is launched through the new option Settings > AirVPN > Start quick VPN connection at application startup. It requires an account that had logged in with "Remember me" checked] I find that would be a really nice use case scenario for my personal viewing using Android streaming devices in my home. However; I am wondering if I can still encrypt the master password at the device level and this new feature still functions well? I leave "Remember me" enabled (but with encrypted master password set) on 3.2.1 because I don't want a teenage person to pull up my client and learn the account master password! Assuming I use 3.3.0's start at application launch (not at bootstrap) can the client be set to automatically bring up the last server used such as what I do on my Eddie computer client? I have already downloaded 3.3.0 and verified the checksum so I want to try it when I get home later. Quote Share this post Link to post

I have "Start VPN connection at device startup" enabled but when I reboot the machine, nothing happens until I manually launch the Eddie app. At that point it connects. And log shows: - Device startup completed. Check whether it is needed to start a VPN startup connection. - Start VPN connection at device startup is enabled. Requestiong VPN connection. The problem is these two events happen at time codes following me manually launching the app. Nothing happens at startup of the device. If I am missing something, please inform. Thank you. Thank you for the information. It is perfectly possible, and has been observed, that manufacturers restrict or block automatic startup of VPN apps (and other app categories) in their Android TV customized ("non-stock") versions. If that's the case, you could try to enable "Always on VPN", if it wasn't removed as well. On stock Android TV "Always on VPN" is available, and sometimes it is available even in non-stock Android TV versions, because it is removed only from the user interface. Link Always on VPN to Eddie in the following way: https://airvpn.org/forums/topic/65815-android-tv-vpn-connection-at-startup-why-openvpn-for-android-can-do-it-and-eddie-not/?do=findComment&comment=255925 and check whether it resolves the situation. It is possible that the settings are wiped out by the firmware or manufacturer's supervision programs so this solution will not work in any case (even when "Always on VPN" is successfully enabled and not removed completely) but it's worth a test. Please keep us informed. Kind regards Quote Share this post Link to post

But I have again to draw you attention to the WG Tunnel app that, on the very same machine, without changing anything, starts in the background on boot and resume from sleep and connects automatically to your servers (unfortunately without the "best server" logic). Maybe you can have a look at its code and see what they're doing differently. It is open sourced at https://github.com/wgtunnel/wgtunnel. Quote Share this post Link to post
