ok so i followed the instructions for ubuntu, and the vpn keeps timing out.... (other vpns seem to work but none of your guy's)

it works now anyways i have a q, when i join a minecraft server it will show the vpn's ip right?

Correct, you're "visible" on the Internet with the exit-IP address of the AirVPN server you're connected to.
