VPN connected but no traffic on SG servers

Recommended Posts

I've been trying to connect to SG servers and it seems that I can barely get any traffic whenever I use SG servers.

They start going into a loop of connecting and disconnecting while I can't get any traffic from them. Here's my Log.

I need to connect to SG server.

Only Port 443 TCP works for me. All others don't.

Also, my internet is working fine. I can browse very fast.

Also, if you check my use account, You'll see tons of connections from me but only having a bit of kilobyte of data transfer.

Hello!

It's normal that you can connect only over TCP, because with an HTTP proxy (the proxy type you're using) TCP is mandatory, UDP is not supported by the proxy. Connections over OpenVPN over a proxy cause a severe performance hit. You can try a direct connection to the servers (i.e. without passing through al proxy) if you don't need to hide your real IP address to our servers while your client is connected. With a direct OpenVPN connection you can use UDP, of course.

Kind regards

Hi that completely avoided my concern.

My main concern is why is it when I'm connected to an SG server, I keep on getting disconnected and if not, I don't get traffic. (i.e. 0kbs upload/download speed)

And I do need the proxy since my internet goes through a gateway of sorts.

And additional info, I can do well with your US servers. It's just that SG gives me the best performance, but it hasn't been allowing me to use it more consistently.

Hello!

Difficult to say for sure, anyway the symptoms point to a peering issue. Or maybe a routing problem. The servers are in the best Singapore datacenter, connected directly to tier1 providers. You might like also to check with your provider whether there are known issues of this sort with the http proxy.

Kind regards
