bandwidthChonker 0 Posted ... Thank you for another 10Gbit/s Server, is there a plan to replace more 1Gbit/s Servers, especially in Germany? I read that a limiting factor are CPU demanding OpenVPN connections. Is there a plan for Wireguard only servers with bandwidth higher than 10Gbit/s or similar solutions? I assume this would increase anonymity with more users per server. Cheers bandwidthChonker Quote Share this post Link to post

I hope there is a way to consolidate more servers into 10 or even 25Gbit/s servers. Considering I am only paying 2,2€ per month I feel kinda bad asking but I would gladly double that for this great service with higher bandwidth servers. Quote Share this post Link to post

Implies you're able to use that bandwidth. Also, a 25 Gbit/s link would require some serious CPU backing server-side. With AMD EPYC processors this might be possible, but this must come with unmetered bandwidth stable enough to be comparable to the current server fleet. It's a cost driver if I ever heard of one. Honestly, since "some other" provider stopped offering port forwarding I am seeing the whole Air network kinda struggling. I hope they will implement more servers soon. tranquivox69 36 Posted ... Lack of replies doesn't inspire confidence. I'm frankly seeing degraded performance in P2P applications. For instance, the server I'm connected to currently, is sitting at 78% load and performance is nowhere near where it should be. Kinda makes me unhappy about my long time commitment to AirVPN (four years till expiration). Quote Share this post Link to post
Staff 10051 Posted ... Hello! Good news, we will start testing a 10 Gbit/s server in Germany before the end of January and if everything goes well we should make it available a few days later. We are waiting for the equipment to be connected between January 20 and 25. Kind regards 1 Andrew109 reacted to this Quote Share this post Link to post
