Hello everyone. I have a rather particular problem. When I connect to a server in the Netherlands and then I download, at least 4 GB, then I go to the active sessions from my interface but I see that I have done the 4 GB of DL but that it changes connection immediately. That is to say that it resets the counters to 0. But not on my laptop. Is this normal? Furthermore I wanted to know if on Android the network lock is active. That is to say my internet traffic goes through airvpn 100% without leaks thank you

Switch to the VPN settings of your phone and enable Always-On VPN for Eddie, and Block connections without VPN. At least, this is the setting I had since around Android 12 or so; it may also vary from vendor to vendor, so try looking up Always-On VPN for your phone on the internet.

"Always on VPN" and "Block traffic if VPN is inactive" (or "Block connections") are Android settings, while "VPN Lock" is an Eddie setting. In your case, disable "VPN Lock" and enable the Android options, they are more comfortable. Screenshots that can help are here:

I believe with your Android version it is not possible yet (without root, that is). The option to allow tethering clients to use the VPN appeared for me with Android 13 first.

First of all, if you use Eddie with Network Lock, there will be no leaks at least.
Then for the secure part, that depends on what you mean by it. Do you want to surf as privately as possible or just have countermeasures in place in case of a malware attack?

The same exit IP is possible if you connect to the same server with different key pairs. Go to the Devices section in your client area and create a new device, then logout in Eddie and log back in to update the device list. Connect with the first pair on device 1 and with the second on device 2.

Can you please try the Experimental version? Don't worry about the name, there is nothing experimental about it. Many people use it, and advertise it as safe for daily use. Click on the Switch to EXPERIMENTAL button to download it.

Well, we can expand on that and actually say, there are ciphers deemed weak which OpenVPN can still use (even encryption-less operation is supported), but none of the AirVPN servers will allow using those if tried. If you read somewhere "OpenVPN is cracked", you can pretty much immediately discard this allegation: The author clearly has no clue about the fact that it's not OpenVPN but the SSL library behind it (most prominently OpenSSL) that provides encrption/decryption.

If you want to connect those two computers over the VPN, this is not possible. No VPN client is allowed to communicate with another VPN client. Would be a security nightmare otherwise.

That's subjective. The color hue – whether a server is green, orange, red – just symbolizes used bandwidth, so obviously green is better. The client count, again, obviously less clients are better.
As for why there are not many people connected to them, that, again, is subjective; ask the people
For me who uses the VPN mainly for streaming purposes nowadays, connecting to any server in Europe is of very little use; I live in Europe myself, after all, and if I'm far from home, I usually VPN into my home network to have internet like at home. So my most used servers tend to be in the US currently since I've got much more choice with streaming services there.

Thanks for your feedback, I had not understood it like that for security. Indeed, I only wanted to be able to communicate between my computer and my laptop which could be connected to the same VPN server and therefore have almost the same local IP. It's a shame that it is not feasible ... maybe an idea that I give to the staff?

It will probably never be implemented unless a whole "private networking" infrastructure is implemented first. I'm seeing this feature offered by your usual VPS hosters for a price. And if it costs, it cannot be provided without work behind the scenes.
