DNS set up

Hi,

I have I use DD-WRT on my router. When I follow the instructions for set up I only enter one DNS in the basic settings, 10.4..... When my router connects to the net and ultimately AirVPN my router automatically adds my ISP's DNS in line 2 & 3.

In order to circumvent that, I added DNS from OpenNIC as shown in attachment. Is this appropriate or should I just enter the Google DNS 8.8.8.8, 8.8.4.4?

Hello!

Yes, it looks just fine. Try to browse https://speedtest.air in order to make sure that the router sends DNS queries to 10.4.0.1.

When I attempt to go to https://speedtest.air/ I get server not found when I go to speed test in member area I get the attached.

So just to clarify the other part. OpenNIC servers are okay? Or Google servers are okay?

It seems that the router does not send the DNS query to 10.4.0.1. What happens if you delete any other DNS server IP?

I took out the other DNS. Router automatically designates my ISP's DNS as shown in WAN status attachment.

Still cannot get the speed test and never have been able to actually. Just thought it was a qwerk of my machine.

I thought I pressed submit on my last reply. Guess I didn't.

I reset my DNS to just 10.4.0.1. My router automatically set DNS 2&3 to my ISP's DNS.

I still can not reach https://speedtest.air/ and I actually never could. Not sure how it effects the issue.
