ANSWERED Port Forwarding Issue in Linux Mint

I have a fresh installation of Linux Mint. using `openvpn` (CLI) I'm trying to use an allocated forwarded port (let's say 12345) to be forwarded to my 1313 port to test a website I'm building locally. The server is working and tested locally (localhost:1313 works). the openvpn connection is up and running. Trying to connect from outside to my [external ip]:[virtual port] always gives ERR_CONNECTION_REFUSED.
Anything obvious I'm missing?

Currently you have no forwarded ports in your port panel so we can't perform any preliminary test. When you have forwarded a port please update the thread, or feel free to open a ticket.
