Block DDWRT router traffic when VPN disabled?

[magnumpi 4]

There's a good post here that shows how to shut off Ubuntu's internet connection if the VPN fails. https://airvpn.org/index.php?option=com_kunena&func=view&catid=3&id=5586&limit=6&limitstart=12&Itemid=142#5642

Is there an analagous method to block your DDWRT router traffic if the VPN fails?
