ANSWERED Eddie crashes on launch Pop_Os

[dalesd 6]

Both with 2.24.0 and 2.24.1

When I start eddie-ui from a command line I get:

[ERROR] FATAL UNHANDLED EXCEPTION: System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'System.Windows.Forms.WindowsFormsSynchronizationContext' threw an exception. ---> System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'System.Windows.Forms.XplatUI' threw an exception. ---> System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'System.Console' threw an exception. ---> System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'System.ConsoleDriver' threw an exception. ---> System.TypeInitializationException: The type initializer for 'Sys' threw an exception. ---> System.DllNotFoundException: /usr/lib/../lib/libmono-native.so assembly:<unknown assembly> type:<unknown type> member:(null)

   --- End of inner exception stack trace ---

it goes on like that for about 30 more lines

Next I tried downgrading to 2.21.8 but that says:

Installation failed
Child process exited with code 100

Please help. I can no longer use AirVPN until I can get Eddie running.

@dalesd

Hello!

Please see here, it should solve the problem you reported:
https://airvpn.org/forums/topic/57401-eddie-desktop-224-beta-released/?do=findComment&comment=229914

sudo apt install mono-runtime-common

Please follow the above linked thread when you have time and feel free to post any further bug you find. @user972512 reported that Eddie 2.24.1 runs fine in Pop!_OS 22.04 LTS. We will be glad to know from you as well.

Kind regards
