ANSWERED Hummingbird/bluetit in broken state

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

airvpn has been running fine on my raspberry pi just fine for a few days then something happened on 2/24/2024 that shut down my raspberry pi and since, my hummingbird has been in a broken state. Does anyone know what could be happening?

pi@pi:~ $ sudo goldcrest /mnt/raspHDD1/airvpn/AirVPN_CA-Toronto-Ontario_Wurren_UDP-443-Entry3.ovpn
Goldcrest - AirVPN Bluetit Client 1.3.0 - 1 June 2023

2024-02-26 09:30:52 Reading run control directives from file /root/.config/goldcrest.rc
2024-02-26 09:30:52 Bluetit - AirVPN OpenVPN3 Service 1.3.0 - 1 June 2023
2024-02-26 09:30:52 OpenVPN core 3.8.4 AirVPN linux arm64 64-bit
2024-02-26 09:30:52 Copyright (C) 2012-2022 OpenVPN Inc. All rights reserved.
2024-02-26 09:30:52 OpenSSL 3.0.8 7 Feb 2023
2024-02-26 09:30:52 It seems Bluetit did not exit gracefully or has been killed.
Your system may not be working properly and your network connection may not work
as expected. To recover your network settings, run this program again and use
the "--recover-network" option

pi@pi:~ $ sudo hummingbird --recover-network
Hummingbird - OpenVPN3 Client 1.3.0 - 1 June 2023

OpenVPN core 3.8.4 AirVPN linux arm64 64-bit
Copyright (C) 2012-2022 OpenVPN Inc. All rights reserved.
OpenSSL 3.0.8 7 Feb 2023

It seems this program has properly exited in its last run and it has already
restored network settings on exit.
Network recovery is not needed.

Hello!

It's unclear why the status is still dirty, according to Goldcrest, because /etc/airvpn content seems just fine. We guess that you still have the problem if you try:
goldcrest --recover-network
(which is the proper command to recover network when the Bluetit status is dirty).

Could you please try a connection through Goldcrest without any profile? Example (from user "airvpn" or "root"):
goldcrest --air-connect

Then, please prepare the complete Bluetit log that you can print on file with:
sudo journalctl | grep bluetit > bluetit.log
and please send us the bluetit.log file you generated.

Kind regards
