Noob here. Can't seem to use AirVPN on a highly restrictive university network.

Recommended Posts

First of all, I'm sorry in advance if my queries are dumb or easily solvable. I'm waaay outta my forte with this VPN stuff.

Now the issue: My Uni's network is super suffocating. I can't even access basic utilities like Telegram's site. Or torrent legit stuff. Couldn't download a bit. Hell, was even unable to open AirVPN's site. Anyways, after much trouble I downloaded Eddie and tried connected to a server automatically and manually. And was unsuccessful in both. Any idea what's the issue and how I can solve it? If I can solve it? Can I do anything in my PC to make AirVPN work on it? Or tinker with the VPN's setting n stuff? Or am I doomed to browsing YT with 500 mb/s?

Here's the log of my attempts to connect:

Is PolarBear Tunnel the name of an adapter Eddie makes or is that from some other VPN software?  I'm thinking the latter.

I had McAfee pre-installed on my System that I uninstalled as soon as I could. And also tried couple of well known VPNs before stumbling on AirVPN, so is it possible it's leftover from those programs?
