Problem with Port Forwarding with Eddie and qBitTorrent

Hi all,
I'm new to the entire Torrenting scene. So please try to assume I'm dumb, even though I'm usually literate with PC-stuff.

I'm trying to set up qBittorrent with AirVPN. I have requested a forwarded port from https://airvpn.org/ports/

I now have a port number. But if I click on "Test open" it gives me a "Connection timed out (110)" on the ports. Similar checking websites also tell me the port is closed.

Do I need to enter the number somewhere in my Eddie-program? I am unsure of how I can open this port any further.

From reading the FAQs and stuff I guess I need to somehow open a port on my PC as well? But I'm unsure of what, where and how.
