Why isn’t VISTA recommended?

Im looking to download air for windows vista but it says it’s not recommended, is their any reason for that?

Hello!

It's an "abandoned" system. Mainstream support ended on 2012 while extended support ended on April 11, 2017.  Using it is therefore risky as any new discovered vulnerability is never patched.
