Hey i just bought AirVPN in the hopes it could help me, im trying to use CMG ( Checkmategaming ) as they have banned my country from signing up,  no matter what server i choose they always detect im using a vpn

I'd imagine banning any kind of proxied connection including VPNs is more than reasonable when competitive games with monetary bets are involved. Kinda your fault for buying in before properly testing, AirVPN does offer a three-day plan for 2€ and support will even let you have it for free if you ask nicely for it in a ticket.

A shame they actually banned your country, though, which drives people into trying out VPNs. Provided, of course, it really is a ban (as in, it was available in the past) and not a simple "not available yet in your country", as monetary payouts would likely have to be designed with law in mind. If it's a ban and it was available in the past… blame your countrymen for doing whatever got the country banned. No helping there, I guess.

as far as it pertains to gaming with prizes in money, even residents in various USA states (such as Arizona, Hawaii, Mississippi, Nevada, South Dakota) are forbidden to use the platform, it's stated here: https://www.checkmategaming.com/faq#region-restrictions-70

In general the platform does not operate in areas where its activity is illegal and/or where it does not have (yet?) mandatory licenses for gambling etc. (it may be questionable whether it's gambling or not, anyway some legal framework tends to frame this activity as such), and also it avoids to operate in "a jurisdiction where the awarding of a prize based on the participant’s results in the competition is prohibited, illegal, or restricted". Therefore it tries to block anything from those areas, to stay on the safe side, and anything not coming from an IP address assigned to a residential ISP.

Free games with no fees and no monetary prizes are open to everyone in general.
