Can I use this if I don't have systemd?

Recommended Posts

Hey so I'm using runit, is there any way I can use your client? Or like any fork I can do to make it work?

Hello!

You can't run Eddie because it relies on systemd. Since runit can be used as a drop-in replacement of sysvinit, you should be able to run the AirVPN Suite, which supports SysV-style init schemes. Please see here:
https://airvpn.org/linux/suite/

User's manual:
https://airvpn.org/suite/readme/

And of course you can still run stand alone Hummingbird (included in the suite, useful mainly if you can't run Bluetit and Goldcrest), OpenVPN and WireGuard.

Kind regards

I am confused because I have seen other instances where runit works with the AirVPN suite

Hello!

OK, as soon as we have the exact version or image of the distribution you experience this problem on, we will investigate thoroughly.

Kind regards
