ANSWERED Eddie ports and prococols for firewalled PC

My system is firewalled,

What are the incoming / outgoing ports and protocols that eddie needs access to.

I am using AirVPN with Tor.

Like so
PC -> Tor -> AirVPN -> Internet

I have entered the Tor settings in
Preferences > PRoxy/Tor -> and selected Tor here.
I click the Test button and it was success!

When i connect using "Connect to recommended server" Eddie goes in a loop and keeps disconnecting and reconnecting.

In hindsight it appears that I shouldn't be needed to open any ports because I'm using Tor as a proxy. so the Eddie client would connect to a local instance of Tor , and should only need access to localhost. Is this correct?
Why then does the client keep disconnecting.

Difficult to say anything without logs. Try a connection, then in Logs tab click the lifebelt icon and paste/upload the output.

I got it working by unchecking
DNS -> Check AirVPN DNS
Advanced -> "Check if the Tunnel works"
Then the Eddie client connected to the recommended server.

I now realise that I didn't frame my question correctly.

I am using AirVPN in
PC- Tor - VPN - Internet

I want to prevent IP leaks in this mode if VPN drops.
I see that PrivateVPN had a post where they manually configure the  Tor "Guard Node" IP into OpenVPN client, and then they also have a kill swich feature they claim that works with this mode.

Can we do similar config with AirVPN, with or without Eddie client.

The PrivateVPN page link is here

Basic kill switch for Windows that will prevent IP leaks.

Eddie's Network Lock now works even for OpenVPN over Tor mode, but only in Windows. Eddie 2.18 or higher version is required.
The feature is currently undocumented. Eddie developer may clarify the matter.

In other systems, if you can't rely on virtualization, we would recommend Tor over OpenVPN for a 100% safe leaks prevention. Tor over OpenVPN, in terms of anonymity layer, is better than OpenVPN over Tor, because the Tor "circuit" is free and re-built at each stream, and not indefinitely fixed for the unique OpenVPN stream. Moreover you can run OpenVPN over UDP. However the final service will see that your traffic comes from Tor.

Kind regards
