Aghinix 0 Posted ... Hey guys. I'm struggling with Eddie on Void linux, i'm trying to use portable version (i've tried appimage also). All works fine, except i can't get it minimized to tray, which i find very, very annoying. There are some libappindicator libraries missing, although i have libappindicator installed, but i guess i have a newer version. eddie-tray: error while loading shared libraries: libindicator.so.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory Any idea how to fix this, ot there is another Eddie version i should try? Thanks. Quote Share this post Link to post

Staff 10016 Posted ... @Aghinix Hello! Can you tell us whether the AppImage's eddie-tray fails with the identical error, or you get a different one? What is your current Desktop Environment? Apart from the minimization problem, is anything else fine? What is your version of libappindicator? Can you please re-check whether libindicator is available? Aghinix 0 Posted ... With Appimage i get this error: /tmp/.mount_eddie-vunP7d/opt/eddie-ui/eddie-tray: error while loading shared libraries: libindicator.so.7: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory I have no desktop environment, only a window manager(openbox). Apart with this minimization problem (which i resolved using an application named kdocker who can minimize any app and sending it to tray) Eddie works fine, no problems. libappindicator-12.10.0_3 libindicator-12.10.1_1 Thanks.
