My current understanding is that the error rate of those qubits is way too high (something around 3%, or 10%, not sure anymore) and that quantum computers require some serious energy input, too much for practical applications. But it's true that they have the power to crack our most trusted classical cryptography in a very convenient time, although I also must say that researchers already developed a few methods of quantum cryptography. We offer WireGuard with per-client pre-shared key for post-quantum resistance, so we're ready, in the extremely unlikely event that a powerful quantum computer could work effectively during our life time.
