AirVPN & hdhomerun = bad Unable to see device when Air is connected

Recommended Posts

So went to go setup my hdhomerun quatro today. When I open the hdhr windows setup app it won't find the tuners. I've added the device's IP to Eddie as an allowed device (like I've had to do with our Canon printer) that didn't correct the problem. I've rebooted and since Eddie takes a bit to open and connect I quickly opened the hdhr setup program on Windows start. Low and behold it found 4 tuners and quickly went to crap as soon as Eddie started to connect. This is obviously an issue with the VPN dialer and not with the hdhr software since it was working just fine until Eddie opened and locked the network. Anyone else running hdhr software on the same computer as AirVPN?

Allow local network in the settings.

preferences>network lock>allow lan/private

It already is.

it could be that some protocols are still blocked even if allow local is on.

Staff will have to say for sure.

I do know other people have had problems with blocked local assets even with allow local on and I've read of the same problem with other VPNs that also use the windows filtering platform.
