keyword 0 Posted ... Hi, I'm getting these two messages when I try to log in with Eddie: Cannot login. (curl: (28) Connection timed out after 20015 milliseconds) Unable to contact provider AirVPN to obtain bootstrap information. Please check your internet connection. I've reset my firewall and DNS, restarted my router, and uninstalled and reinstalled Eddie. My internet is working fine otherwise. I've submitted a help ticket, but I was hoping to get this fixed tonight. Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this? Thanks Share this post Link to post
jhonatan 0 Posted ... Same here. I cannot login to Eddie and I cannot access to the airvpn website. In order to write this post I had to use the tor browser in whonix. I can only access the airvpn website if I use an online proxy or the tor browser. Share this post Link to post
Staff 9973 Posted ... Hello! It would be interesting to know whether you have the same ISP or not, or some common "Internet security suite" (or similar tools), and a traceroute to airvpn.org Also, can you access airvpn.info? Kind regards Share this post Link to post
Yet another user 0 Posted ... (edited) Same thing here. Haven't been able to connect all day, but I can reach airvpn.org and log in here just fine. Same thing in both Linux and Windows, so I doubt it's software-related. I can't reach airvpn.info. Condobloke 1 Posted ... sorry to leapfrog on this post....but there is clearly some common denominator I run Linux Mint 18.3 ....therefore no AV etc etc "Checking route ipv4 failed " everything checked...rebooted router and pc etc etce cte ect..... All other aspects of connection are superb..... Therefore the common denominator is airvpn Brian Share this post Link to post
ps73 4 Posted ... (edited) Crap, I posted this in the wrong thread. Sorry, the post below is if you get the "Checking route IPv4 failed." error. My original post: Root cause of this issue appears to be an expired certificate. If you reset your system time to yesterday (I went back a week, so that my day of week will still be correct) or earlier, then I believe you should be able to connect. It works for me. And while I do work in support, I do not work for AirVPN support, so do not take this as an official answer from them. p Edited ... by ps73 posted in wrong thread, but leaving here as I bet it will apply to everyone Share this post Link to post
Yet another user 0 Posted ... As suggested here, using the config generator and connecting with OpenVPN is working fine for me. I don't know what the underlying issue is, but it's apparently not affecting everyone, so it must be something common only to a subset of users. Given the variety of OSes, software seems unlikely; maybe your ISP or location are relevant. Share this post Link to post
Condobloke 1 Posted ... Just now, keyword said: Good suggestion ps73. Like yourself I also work in support (not here) I use linux mint......so I turned OFF Network Time....and then altered today's date Back to the 15th. It worked. Of course one of the drawbacks associated with doing that is that some websites will deny entry because a "a date in the future" has been submitted ..... If you can live with that....and just download whatever you want to and then close airvpn, the 'fix' will do the job I can keep that date set back until air get their act together......or I finish my downloading regime....whichever occurs first. I wont hold my breath. Brian Share this post Link to post
tuttiface 0 Posted ... I've also posted a thread based on a similar issue, adjusting my date/time/location doesn't work. I'm using Windows 10, my ISP is Verizon and I live in Maryland, if that can help narrow down the problem. I'm a bit disappointed with this situation as I've just paid for a yearly subscription and now I cannot login, which has forced me to subscribe and pay a different VPN provider while this issue is sorted out. 1 Condobloke reacted to this Share this post Link to post
Slackjawed Cletus 4 Posted ... Under the "DNS" settings tab, deselect "Check AirVPN DNS", then go to the "Advanced" tab and deselect "Check if the Tunnel Works". Worked for me on v2.17.2. Just a very temporary fix. Share this post Link to post
BanjoNet 2 Posted ... Hi Sorry for jumping on this thread but im still having issues and now cant even login through eddie as i get the above error. So have uninstalled eddie twice before seeing you acknowledge problem is your end. Now it wont even let me login to try to reconnect. Im a virgin customer so you are blacklisted with them, which I am already aware of and use opera vpn just to access your site. I can login online but not from my pc. I will try open vpn with a config file for the short term but would like to know why im having this issue to begin with ? Thank You Banjo Share this post Link to post
Hyperlooney 0 Posted ... Yeah this issue has not been fixed. Been having issues logging in for 24 hours now. Today seems even worse than yesterday. Hopefully this doesn’t go on much longer Share this post Link to post
Blasio 0 Posted ... I'm also having this problem. I'm in Canada on a small ISP in a remote area. Windows 10. Share this post Link to post
