Hello!

Sat Sep 29 04:06:42 2012 NOTE: FlushIpNetTable failed on interface [48] {7506FB69-AE75-4114-96A2-2F74D4F60180} (status=5) : Access is denied.

OpenVPN can't access the TAP-Win32 interface and can't modify the routing table.

Please make sure that:
- you launch OpenVPN GUI with administrator privileges
- there are no other OpenVPN instances running
- the TAP-Win32 adapter is enabled

Kind regards

I also experience similar "FlushIpNetTable failed" messages quite often when having resumed my PC from it's sleep/hibernation/suspend state.

If you leave it to connect for long enough, the client will eventually claim it is connected but the connection will not be useable. Disconnecting and trying again will give "Already connected" half of the time (this can be quickly solved going to the client area's overview page and clicking "Disconnect now").

After checking you're not guilty of the cirumstances noted by Staff, how I fix this problem is not entirely clear but it consists of firstly closing the AirVPN client, disabling and re-enabling both my Ethernet adapter and the OpenVPN TAP-Win32 adapter. Now go to each adapter and do the following: right-click and choose Properties, scroll down and double-click "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)", click OK and OK again to close both popups (I find this step usually has solved the issue by now). I then also run some commands in the command prompt (cmd.exe) for good measure:

ipconfig /release
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /registerdns
ipconfig /renew

Now you should be able to reopen and connect with AirVPN's client successfully.

How much of this is relevant I'm not sure but these steps get the client to connect without having to resort to the alternate fix of restarting the computer.

The above commands can be made easier on yourself if you put them into a batch file to run from (create a new Notepad text document and save it as ipconfigcmds.bat):

@ECHO off
ipconfig /release
ECHO. & ECHO.
ipconfig /flushdns
ECHO. & ECHO.
ipconfig /registerdns
ECHO. & ECHO.
ipconfig /renew
ECHO. & ECHO.
PAUSE
EXIT

REM This script runs 4 ipconfig command options. Type ipconfig /? for help.
REM More info on using the command line can be found at http://ss64.com/nt/
