Ozodux 0 Posted ... (edited) I've been playing with a lot of different VPN providers and all of the premium ones seem to cap out at 125Mbit download, same goes for AirVPN. My setup is HyperV host with these specs On that is a VM running with 6 vCPUs assigned which is running the latest version of OpenVPN, also tested on a completely different laptop but with the same resultInternet without VPN Down: 500 Mbit Up: 40 MbitAirVPN Down: 125 Mbit Up: 25-40 Mbit Load on the server during testing is minimal I've tried different protocols and also tried the sticky Is this just the max speed or am I missing something? Staff 10015 Posted ... Hello! We do not enforce any "cap". You can also see from the tables in the status page that 125 Mbit/s is a performance which is easily beaten. The fact that you experience a constant and exact cap with every and each VPN server, and therefore with different tier1 and tier2 transit providers, hints obviously to a cap inside your network (your very local one network, or your ISP's).https://airvpn.org/status Kind regards Quote Share this post Link to post
Ozodux 0 Posted ... That is what I was thinking as well, since I reach the full bandwidth without VPN. My reasoning is that it is the Peering of my ISP. Quote Share this post Link to post
