Remote port forwarding per device

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I have looked at the Remote Port Forwarding feature of AirVPN (which is great to have by the way!).

I have several devices that I connect to AirVPN directly from the devices' network settings (not via a router). I would like to forward a remote port for only one of these devices.

I see that it is possible to have separate device keys, in the Client Area. Is it possible to specify that a remote port should be forwarded for only a specific device, according to the keys used to connect?

I would rather avoid having the remote port open for every device that connects through my account, as this is a potential security risk.

Thanks very much,

Hello!

That is not possible: packets will be accepted and forwarded to your final node IP address from all the servers your account is connected to. It's not a big deal anyway (see below).

Why? Just make sure that the port does not exist in the proper machines, that's all.

Kind regards
