mac versions

Hello.

 

I am trying to find a version past 2.12 that works with mac mojave.

 

I have downloaded the newest and experimental versions. They look like they connect, but, safari and mail don't work. they say they are not connected to the network. 

 

I have tried to do the tcp 443 selection and block ipv6.

 

I have to disconnect the Eddies to work.

 

I do not understand. Also, when I do the gui update, Where is Eddie? It says it installs and I can't find Eddie.

 

I think I need to remove the newest installs. How do I do that? I'm not sure where they are?

I got EDDIE 2.17 to work using all the defaults except I unchecked REMOVE DEFAULT GATEWAY in NETWORKING.

 

I have posted this solution in another thread, also, in  answer to another member's questions.

 

My question now is, does this diminish EDDIE's security?

Hello!

 

Provided that you enable Network Lock, removing the default gateway is not necessary and not even an optimal solution. By default Eddie must have this option UNCHECKED in every system, did you notice otherwise in beta versions?

Yes,when I installed, it was checked. I still have sometimes when it can't "find the server" or takes a long time to start, but, at least I can now see web pages and get my mac mail.
