gB1ylk 0 Posted ... Hello, Are there any plans to add at least one Greek server in order to resolve the various restrictions in the Greek TV services? (https://airvpn.org/topic/16138-greek-tv-geographical-restrictions) ? If it can be solved in another way then great Thank you Quote Share this post Link to post
OpenSourcerer 1435 Posted ... I found one other thread referring to Greek TV. Based on that the demand for a direct connect server is way too little, but maybe there is a bit of space for a 100 MBit/s rerouting server somewhere, who knows Quote Hide OpenSourcerer's signature Hide all signatures NOT AN AIRVPN TEAM MEMBER. LZ1 672 Posted ... Hello! We're not usually told in advance, but making requests is fine. For more information on how Air deals with servers, please refer to the link in my signature, in the First Questions section. zasxas 0 Posted ... Hello, it will be cool if you could add at some point a Greek server. It doesn't have to be the fastest one and yes i have read the FAQ Quote Share this post Link to post
OpenSourcerer 1435 Posted ... Is there a particular reason you need connectivity to Greece? If it's media, a rerouting server ought to be enough. Agrock 1 Posted ... I'd like to add a third vote for a Greek server (though I of course understand 3 votes in 6 years don't amount to much 🙂). One use case is media, but a second (arguably more important) one is that Greek government websites (basically anything under *.gov.gr), or rather the Akamai CDN they use, seem to implement some rate limiting that makes them basically unusable from (at least some) foreign IPs (but that's across several years and different ISPs). Currently I have to resort to occasionally paying a separate VPN provider for both of these use cases, which as a loyal Air customer of nearly a decade now I would much prefer not to have to do. A rerouting server as mentioned above could perhaps be suitable for both of these cases, though I'm not sure what that would entail exactly. Quote Share this post Link to post

I don't see why you would subscribe to another provider if you can simply not connect at all to access government websites (as I'm assuming you're in Greece yourself). For the other use case, as I mentioned, a rerouting server should be enough, but introducing one hinges on demand. Quote Hide OpenSourcerer's signature Hide all signatures NOT AN AIRVPN TEAM MEMBER. That would be rather daft of me, wouldn't it? 🙂 I am indeed not in Greece myself. Quote Share this post Link to post
johnthegod 0 Posted ... it would be nice to have a Greek server in the future, it would also solve high latency problems Quote Share this post Link to post
