Android - always connecting to same AirVPN server

Recommended Posts

I'm using OpenVPN for Android with the AirVPN UDP Europe file (no options changed in config generator). Unfortunately, it always connects to the exact same AirVPN server, giving me the same IP. It says "preserving recently used address" in the app. Can I make it so it randomly connects to any Europe server on disconnect/reconnect?

Hello!

Please look here for Android.

Please look here for routers.

I hope that helps you with connecting to random locations .

Welcome to AirVPN!

Perhaps because you can select which ones you want, based on both region, such as Europe, or specific countries, further down the page. While also being able to input a custom command like "remote-random".

This just creates hundreds of single files, all with one IP. Is there really no way to do this automatically? Why was the "all servers" option removed from the config generator?

I'm not sure honestly, I faintly recall a post perhaps being made about it, but I can't find it at the moment. You may need to contact support and report back.

In OpenVPN for Android, you can specify seperate servers in the server list tab. That's how I managed to connect randomly to servers in Europe. I've added several european servers in the server list tab. Be sure to switch on "Use connection entries in random order on connect" Your entry now would be "europe.vpn.airdns.org" or something like that. I removed this entry and added a seperate entry for each individual country. For Spain this would be "es.vpn.airdns.org" UDP protocol, port 443. For sweden  "se.vpn.airdns.org". I've added for each european country a separate entry this way. With the random order switch on, I connect to a different country / server each time I start openvpn. I hope this is enough explanation for you.

Grtz
