kiteboywales 0 Posted ... Hi all Ive just signed up to airvpn again - was previously with virginmedia and everytime I entered teh VPN config into the Asus Router with Merlin Firmware the speeds dropped dramitically. From 200MB to 10MB I thought it was some issue with virginmedia but Im now with BT and speeds again drop from 80Mb to 5Mb When followwing this guide: https://airvpn.org/asuswrt/ So its really unusable - I dont know if thats an airvpn thing or a router thing though Is this a common issue - is the router not powerful enough maynbe Any tips....... or should I just protect each machine separtely?? Thanks all for any advice Quote Share this post Link to post

Also, make sure you're doing speed tests connected by wire. You could be seeing some degradation over wifi as well. Quote Share this post Link to post
kiteboywales 0 Posted ... Well just doing some testing now and even through EDDIE on an i7 (I think gen 5 laptop) im only getting speeds of ~7Mb maximum Tried a couple of servers too - sweden, uk and holland - all around the same Switch eddie off and get full speeds Any ideas - I think I may have wasted a years subscription! EDIT - IGNORE ME - VPN STILL ON IN ROUTER WILL TRY AGAIN Quote Share this post Link to post
