Aquarius has been out of services for a couple of days now (Line Down). Is there an ETA on when it will be fixed? Also, what does Line Down mean?

It may have some different meanings, which anyway do not change the outcome (server not accessible). A line might be saturated by a flood attack exceeding the upstream port(s) capacity, an IP address could be unreachable, etc.

 

In this specific case our 1 Gbit/s port has been suddenly capped without explanation to 100 Mbit/s and we put the server down with the mentioned reason while we wait for a resolution of the problem by the datacenter (which has been of course timely warned about the issue).

Baham is in the same city while you wait. I personally avoid any servers in the United States. This is coming from somebody who lives in the United States. The reason I use a VPN in the first place is to escape the free for all invasion of privacy that is transcending with the change in rules by our wonderful idiot FCC commissioner, Ajit Pai. I only whitelist my bank's IP through my naked connection as their site gives trouble accessing outside the US unless you tell the bank you're going on vacation where they can temporarily whitelist access while you're on vacation. I don't blame them because they're just looking out for the safety of our accounts from fraud.
