ANSWERED Cannot connect to internet prior to starting client software.

Hi,

 

I love the service and have no real issues except one. On starting up my PC I cannot connect

to my ISP without first starting the client. And then I can't use my public IP, which is sometimes

useful or necessary for local banking or shopping services.

 

Is there a way to use the client software, which is great, without being blocked from the internet

at startup? Or is the open source software a solution?

Hello,

 

that's an unexpected issue. Please have a look here, it should help you fix the issue quickly:

Also, make sure that you're running Eddie latest stable release (currently 2.12.4) and that you always shut down Eddie properly (menu "AirVPN" > "Exit") to let it restore your previous system settings.

Thanks! That seems to have solved everything. Ticked the box for DNS to obtain an IP address automatically, as it did before,

and all's well again.
