I purchased AirVPN because I wanted to stop getting letters from my ISP for downloading things. I have Vuze plus for my sharing. I have slower bandwidth when I have Eddie running, so I keep it off unless I have Vuze open and running. Is this a bad idea?

Hello!

Welcome to AirVPN!

You can check the new user guide in my signature if you wish, as it contains some troubleshooting/configuration tips for both torrenting and the Eddie client. There's no problem in keeping Eddie off, no. Unless as you said, you're torrenting, then it should be on so that your IP is masked. Although it's good to test on ipleak.net to see if Vuze is leaking your IP or not. You can try out different servers and protocols with Eddie. If that doesn't work, you can still share your Eddie logs with us if you'd like.

Moderators do not speak on behalf of AirVPN. Only the Official Staff account does. Please also do not run Tor Exit Servers behind AirVPN, thank you.
Did you make a guide or how-to for something? Then contact me to get it listed in my new user guide's Guides Section, so that the community can find it more easily.

But the short answer to your question is:  No, that's fine.  If you don't have the torrent client running, you don't need the VPN running, if that's all you are using it for.
