"An error occured installing TAP device Driver"

Hi new to AirVPN

 

When i first start the client and click connect to the recommended server, the following message comes up:

 

"An error occured installing TAP device Driver"

 

As I have just installed it, I'm on the default settings. Is there any way I can fix this issue, as I can't connect to anything?

Same problem, just spent 15 euros on 3 months and it turns out, I can't even use it. Have been trying all those fixes I found on google, still nothing. So frustrating...

Hello!

Installation of a driver should not be a paramount issue, but in order to enable the community to provide you with effective help you should specify your exact Windows version, provide full log and error messages, to begin with.

 

Also consider to open a ticket to receive support from the tech personnel.

P.S. Also please note that in the package of our free and open source software we include the standard driver from OpenVPN, so it's not a customized driver, it's just the usual driver for the tun/tap interface used on millions of Windows machines every day.

Sometimes a good computer restart is all that is needed to fix TAP installation issues.  Seriously.
