G5rCgbSk 0 Posted ... What client and/or configuration would I use for Windows Home Server 2011 which I believe is based on a combination of Windows Server 2008r2 and Windows 7? Thanks. Quote Share this post Link to post
OpenSourcerer 1435 Posted ... Based on MS WinServer 2008r2, and I don't quite understand the question. You've got a Windows machine there which can run any Windows client. Even Eddie. Another matter entirely if you want the server to connect to AirVPN and the clients to the server... I believe this is more involved. G5rCgbSk 0 Posted ... I just want to connect the server as a client, not use it as a VPN server to connect other clients through. So can I just use the standard AirVPN client? If so which version as there isn't one that says it's for Windows Server - would it be the version for Windows Vista / 7? Quote Share this post Link to post

The version for Windows Vista and 7 should be perfect because Server 2008 R2, Windows 7 and Windows Home Server 2011 are just different marketing labels for different setups of Windows NT 6.1 Kind regards Quote Share this post Link to post
G5rCgbSk 0 Posted ... The Vista / Windows 7 version installed OK and works fine. However, there is an issue in that it shuts down when I log out, and that's quite a lot as it's a server. Is there a way to keep the AirVPN client running when I have logged out of Windows? Quote Share this post Link to post
OpenSourcerer 1435 Posted ... If you log out, all programs the account started are closed. Better just switch users and keep the account logged in.
