333_half_evil 6 Posted ... Is it possible to configure my WiFi router with Air so that all the devices that are connected to the router are already encrypted/have the exit ip? I'm not sure if that is possible so i figured i would see what everyone thinks Quote Share this post Link to post
LZ1 672 Posted ... Hello! Yes of course it's possible m'dear! Many do this. You simply need to add some of the following spices to your lovely homemade Air (it's a soufflé in case you're wondering ) recipe:Patience. As with all good cooking, patience is king. Without it, everything soon falls apart. A good router with a good strong CPU, such as the Turris Omnia or a computer converted into a router using PfSense, such as a Zbox Nano. All referenced in my guide. Researching ahead of time, what software you want to use and if it's compatible with your hardware. There's plenty of other guides around here which will further elaborate on the where, why's and how's of installing stuff . You can use the higher-end consumer routers for these things, butin a sense it's not recommended, as performance may still be lackluster, compared to one of the aforementioned pieces of hardware and software. But if you're stuck with, say, a routerfrom your ISP, such as Virgin Media, I wouldn't recommend installing AirVPN (thus OpenVPN) on it!
