matthew694 0 Posted ... Hi All, Context windows 8.1 enterprise, using airvpn desktop client, and port forwarding setup in bittorrent client. This may be a stupid question, but we all have to start somewhere I observed that my bittorrent clinet is downloading at a rate of 2.5MB/s while the airvpn client shows downloads of 390 KB/s So I looked into the IPs in windows resource monitor, and I found that tixati (my bit torrent client) is receiving data from numerous IPs that are not the airvpn IP address. I see the same behavior with utorrent in resource monitor, although the download speeds more closely match with airvpn Would I be right in assuming the best thing to do is switch to utorrent, and not worry about resource manager, as it should all be routed to an airvpn server, before going on? If so can I prove it to myself? (for eduational purposes) Quote Share this post Link to post
LZ1 672 Posted ... Hello! I'd sooner recommend qBittorent, perhaps using Network Lock and making it listen on the AirVPN Tun interface and checking the torrent download from ipleak.net . So I looked into the IPs in windows resource monitor, and I found that tixati (my bit torrent client) is receiving data from numerous IPs that are not the airvpn IP address. You will always see numerous IP addresses because that's how Peer-To-Peer networks work. If you saw only one IP you'd download from or upload to one client which is not the point of distributed file sharing.
