Connection Refused. Problem 02.01.2017 USA (Temporarily)

Hello guys!

 

I'm on vacation in USA from Finland and starting today my AirVpn Eddie client has been given me a Connection Refused error.

 

My set up is pretty standard, I have the nameserver 10.4.0.1 in /etc/resolv.conf. DNS is set to Renaming.
 

I reprogrammed my Arch recently and today am trying to connect to AirVpn with no luck. I have heard there is a new law in USA cracking down on VPN users (Rule 41) and am wondering if my hostess' ISP simply is blocking all VPN access.

It has something to do with the latest openVPN update on Arch, read here:

In case you don't have the time you could downgrade the package:

go to

cd /var/cache/pacman/pkg/

and do

pacman -U openvpn-2.3.14-1-x86_64.pkg.tar.xz

Thank you so much. I'm using the management 127.0.0.1 3100 method as of right now but tested downgrading too and it worked as well.
