Hello,

So i have my utorrent client setup to use torrents using the guide turning off upnp etc.

But i am wondering about the proxy server and proxy privacy settings.

In utorrent i have to turn everything off for a torrent to work.

Is this safe?

ie does airvpn encrypt my connection and only the vpn is used for the torrent connections?

thanks for your time

Hello!

uTorrent is not what I'd recommend for a torrent client.

You shouldn't have to touch stuff related to proxy servers . I'm not sure what you mean turn everything off.

In the advanced settings, you may be able to bind uTorrent to the VPN interface, like in qBittorent.

Download the test torrent at ipleak.net to see if your IP is hidden sir.

This is what i get from the torrent:

"

Torrent Address detection
Add this Magnet Link to your torrent client and wait for the results below.

So my Ip address is protected by the looks of it?

There is no mention of encryption that i can see am i reading that correct?

thanks LZ1

If it shows the addresses belonging to the VPN, then yes you're protected . You should see your Air IP under "IP Address" on ipleak - with the flag from the country server you're connected to. You can see what IP address you currently got served, both on the ipleak page and in the Eddie client overview section. By comparison, you can turn off the VPN and visit ipleak again (without downloading the test torrent) and see that your IP is different.
