Linkoping 6 Posted ... I'm sure this question is asked often but I was wondering when I would receive my free trial to AirVPN. This is also my first VPN I have ever considering buying and would like the forum's opinion on the software. I usually get around 70 Mbps on my internet, but the free VPN I used for a day brought my internet to a crawl and it was unbearable. Thanks in advance. Share this post Link to post
LZ1 672 Posted ... Hello! Welcome to AirVPN! If you've submitted your free trial request, then I would expect you to get your trial soon . You'll hardly regret AirVPN - it's practically the gold standard in VPNs. The software is absolutely excellent. With a free VPN, you should expect to get what you pay for :] 1 OmniNegro reacted to this Hide LZ1's signature Hide all signatures Hi there, are you new to AirVPN? LZ1 672 Posted ... Free shouldn't be unusable. I have been a subscriber for a long time, and likely will be. But I agree. "You should expect to get what you pay for". Is that meant to be a cute quip? This era of people wants and needs fast speeds, instant replies, and easy to use things. Thats how things work. If something isn't one of those, or so, people just don't want to bother. Is it right? Of course not. But that's how things are. That's the biggest reason people now days don't use things, even if it's for their protection. 'Get that you pay for' ...lol. Could you have been any more bland? Give them something that will wow them, not make them wonder if it's even worth it since their speed was at a crawl. To be perfectly honest, that reply was pathetic, disgusting, and completely not what I've come to expect from this company. Very sad and very disappointing. Immediately brought to mind the staff at HideMyAss.com. One can only hope this company is in no way shape or form similar. It sounds like you've made a mistake. That, or I misunderstood you. Because there's no one in this thread who has spoken on Airs account, if that's what you're referring to when you say "this company". I don't work for AirVPN. Wish I did, but I don't :]. Could you please clarify what you meant? Thank you. 2 therion and OmniNegro reacted to this Hide LZ1's signature Hide all signatures Hi there, are you new to AirVPN? mmmxx 12 Posted ... A free trial still makes sense for those who struggle to connect using standard distro clients for oVPN under Linux, which hardly ever is "plug and play". Share this post Link to post
Veep Peep 13 Posted ... Hello, I tried the free trial - and had no issues. Installed the client and my speed was about the same. Could be the server, could be your ISP, could be a grasshopper drinking a beer. The forum here will help you, there are also some tool here you can check. What have your tried to do about the speed issue? Anyhow, I joined. Good luck and Godspeed (or bandwidthspeed). Share this post Link to post
Veep Peep 13 Posted ... Very interesting stuff you shared. The word 'free' is abused/confused regularly. The payment is information, and it is paid through ignorance. I admit, I don't read the agreements fully. If I don't agree, I don't get to use, there is no negotiating. To be included, I do it. It's so easy. It's so easy to give up my information and not realize the cost till too late. I am guilty of it.Even if I withdraw, my info is out there. Also my network gives out my info - app that access phone book - my info is in friends phones. Cameras are also everywhere.Credit cards are used to track where you have been, what you purchase and they sell that info to other corporations. In North America, life without a credit card is VERY difficult.Anyhow, I think in the next couple of years, we will see what happens to a generation that is fully tracked. Or what happens to me.I hope something good comes out of this... 1 therion reacted to this Share this post Link to post
