question about WebRTC

Recommended Posts

I've recently learned about webRTC and its ability to expose the real IP of VPN users to websites.

If I use AirVPN with Eddie (which I trust is a properly configured VPN setup), am I safe from webRTC exposing my real IP? I've done the test at ipleak.net and only saw AirVPN's IP and DNS in the webRTC section, but maybe I just got "lucky".

Note: I am aware that you can turn webRTC off in Firefox, but I would like to use Chromium. It also would not solve the problem of webRTC implemented in any other applications.

Hello!

Yes of course Air manages this - it's such a basic problem from Airs POV I imagine! Haha. If you're wanting to be extra sure, simply enable Network Lock. Then it doesn't matter which browser you use anyway. But even so, you could also install the uBlock Origin plugin and then go into its settings and enable its WebRTC blocker :].

Welcome to AirVPN!

Moderators do not speak on behalf of AirVPN. Only the Official Staff account does. Please also do not run Tor Exit Servers behind AirVPN, thank you.
Did you make a guide or how-to for something? Then contact me to get it listed in my new user guide's Guides Section, so that the community can find it more easily.
